Agua Ramon Lodge
is a premier whitetail deer and turkey hunting destination in north-central Kansas. We provide hunts for selected youth hunters under 16 years of age at no charge.

What We Do:
We provide a personal hunting experience tailored to each individual. The only expense a youth hunter and accompanying mentor incurs is transportation to and from our facility. All other items including licenses, on-site transport, guides plus room and board are provided. Each hunter must be accompanied by one non-hunting guest, preferably a parent, legal guardian or approved mentor.

The lodge, built in 2009, sleeps 13 with 4 private bathrooms, commercial kitchen, laundry services, a full RV hookup and two-story trophy great room. Wireless internet is available.

Agua Ramon's 1500+ acres are managed for wildlife and includes a mix of hardwood trees, food plots, CRP acreages and crops which enhance wildlife habitat. The property includes 5 continuous miles of Big Walnut Creek.

Multiple tree stands, ground blinds and enclosed shelters are located throughout the property.  Our farm is located in Jewell County, Kansas. We are in Area 3 for turkey and Area 7 for whitetail deer.
Contact Us Today!
If you would like to hunt, please email us or send a letter to Agua Ramon Lodge, c/o Dary & Shauna Southwick, at our Colorado address (below). Tell us why you wish to hunt and what you expect to gain from the experience. We are especially interested in young hunters who have been unable to hunt for health or financial reasons, or other special circumstances.

Spring turkey season begins April 1st; we hunt through May 15th with both bow and shotgun.

Whitetail season begins in late September and continues through early January. Fall turkey hunting is also available in conjunction with whitetail. Fall hunting is primarily with a bow. A 10 day rifle-only whitetail season usually begins around December 1st.

We take five spring turkey hunters and five fall whitetail/turkey hunters each year. Spring hunts last three hunting days; fall hunts are five hunting days.

For scheduling purposes, we begin our review of letters from prospective hunters in January and complete our yearly hunt schedule by March 1. This ensures sufficient time for license applications.
